Tip 10: Get Quality Sleep

Quality sleep is more than just spending enough hours in bed—it's about getting restful, uninterrupted sleep that allows the body and mind to fully recover.

For most adults, quality sleep means getting seven to nine hours of sleep each night, falling asleep within a reasonable amount of time, staying asleep throughout the night, and waking up feeling refreshed and alert. Good sleep includes enough time in the deeper stages of sleep, when the body repairs tissues, strengthens the immune system, and processes memories and information. Signs of quality sleep include having steady energy throughout the day, being able to concentrate, maintaining a positive mood, and not relying heavily on caffeine to stay awake. Prioritizing healthy sleep habits can have a powerful impact on both physical and mental health.
