Exercise is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. When our daily work is labor-intensive, we rarely need to make time to get up and move around – but as desk jobs proliferate, it becomes ever-more important to create a consistent workout schedule.
Physical activity doesn’t need to be strenuous; by walking or jogging for 30 minutes each day, you can relieve stress, strengthen your bones, and reduce your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some cancers. Find an activity that’s right for you – whether that’s running, biking, swimming, or playing in a local sports league – and talk to your provider about creating a safe and consistent exercise routine.
